The power electronics research includes design, modeling, prototyping and testing of converters utilizing high-performance IGBT and wide-band gap (WBG) devices such as SiC and GaN. In collaboration with industries, government, and academic partners, the R&D conducted in the area of power electronics focuses on improving the performance of these converters.
